JACOB TITUS pulled into Butte, Montana on a Monday in August and took a room at the Finlen Motor Inn. He was in town for a wedding, showing early with his camera and fifteen rolls of 35 mm film. He found it a place fluent in loss and in life, in stories of beauty, bricks, and work. He walked its streets for hours on end, and on the last night, he met a girl.
DREAMING IN BUTTE is the photographic memo of that first trip: eight photographs, pieces of Jacob's street-side conversations, and borrowed words from filmmaker Wim Wenders and Butte’s unofficial poet laureate, Ed Lahey.
